She believed she would stand before God one day and He would say, “Depart from Me.” But Kay kept on searching, and at the age of 29, now a single mother working as a nurse, she called in sick to the hospital where she was working because she was sick at heart, sick over her sin, and sick over how she had been living. God began to move in her life, and Kay came under conviction of her sin. His wife was pregnant with their sixth child. She didn’t know that he was married, and by the time she found out, it was too late. Kay never dreamed she would have an affair with a married man, but she did. I’m going to find someone to love me.’ I went to look for love and never thought I would fall so far. I stood in the living room, shook my fist in the face of God, and said, ‘To hell with You, God. “My dreams of the ideal life were shattered. The enormous pain of her broken life led her away from what little she knew about God. The results of this condition later led to their divorce.
